Privacy policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

We collect only what we need to run LarkLaunch, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time. Here is exactly what that means.

1. Who we are

LarkLaunch is run by its founder, Peter Ishak, who is responsible for your data. For any privacy question, email peterhabib.v@gmail.com or message @peteriishak on X. Please also see our Terms of use.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us.
  • Profile: the name, username, bio, avatar and social handles you choose to add.
  • Launches: what you submit about your product, such as its name, description, links, images and category, plus anything you add in the optional Classify and Additional tabs (for example use cases, a revenue range, your X username or a promo code).
  • Activity: your upvotes, comments, posts, replies, likes, poll votes and follows.
  • Messages: the text and images you send, and when they were delivered and read. Typing indicators are never stored.
  • Purchases: which plan or placement you bought and when. Billing details stay with our payment provider.
  • Technical data: a random visitor token in your browser, overall page-view counts, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser) kept for security.

Your profile, launches, comments and posts are public. Direct messages are visible only to you and the person you are talking to, and message images are kept in private storage.

3. How we use it

  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To show your profile, launches and posts to the community.
  • To count votes fairly and run the weekly leaderboard.
  • To deliver messages, notifications and the emails described below.
  • To activate the plans and placements you buy.
  • To keep spam, fraud and abuse off the site.

Where European data protection law (GDPR) applies, we rely on providing the service you signed up for, our legitimate interest in keeping LarkLaunch safe and useful, and legal duties such as keeping purchase records for tax.

4. Signing in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, we only ask for your basic profile: name, email and picture. We don’t access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar, we don’t share Google data with advertisers, and we don’t use it to train AI models. Our use of Google data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Emails

We send emails you need (sign-up confirmation, password resets, updates about your launches and replies to you) and a weekly email with the top products. Every weekly email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We never send marketing for other companies.

6. Services we work with

We share data only with the providers that help us run LarkLaunch, and only what each one needs:

  • Supabase for the database, sign-in, messaging and file storage.
  • Vercel for hosting and privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics.
  • Resend for sending emails.
  • Polar for payments. Polar handles card numbers and billing addresses; we never store them.
  • Google for optional sign-in, and for showing website icons as product logos.

We would only share data otherwise if the law requires it or to protect the safety of our users.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser’s storage only for things that make the site work: keeping you signed in, remembering your theme, preventing duplicate votes and counting unique visits. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. How long we keep data, and how we protect it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete something, it is removed from LarkLaunch straight away; backup copies at our providers expire on their normal schedule. Purchase records may be kept longer where tax law requires it.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and database rules make sure people can only see what they are allowed to. No system is perfect, so a strong, unique password always helps.

9. Your choices and rights

  • See or download your data: email us and we will send you a copy.
  • Correct it: edit your profile and launches at any time.
  • Delete it: delete your account from Settings → Account. This permanently removes your profile, launches, posts, comments and messages.
  • Choose what you receive: unsubscribe from the weekly email, or limit who can message you in Settings → Chat.

For anything else, email peterhabib.v@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days. You can also contact your local data protection authority.

10. Children and international use

LarkLaunch isn’t meant for children. You need to be at least 13, or the minimum age where you live, to create an account. If you think a child has signed up, let us know and we will delete the account. Our providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere, with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you about important changes by email or notification.
