Discover Alone

Discover Alone is a free map of over a million places around Ireland and Britain. Type a town or use your location to see nearby historic sites, viewpoints, gardens, museums, food stops and plenty more. Explorer Tom is the cheeky guide: where his account has been written, he gives a lively opening, tips and guidance rooted in that real place, and may get carried away with an obvious tall tale. Place pages show locations and the pictures and sources available; shorter records stay on the map while Tom's writing continues. Rickie Doherty made Discover Alone after hearing too many people say they did not know what was around them. It started in Donegal and kept growing. No account is needed to use the map. Pick a place and go.
